Ambrion Launches Katapult Network for Millennials
A recruiting agency for the next generation
MINNEAPOLIS-March 3, 2015- Ambrion Inc. launches Katapult Network today to connect emerging professionals with growing Minnesota employers looking for the best millennial talent.
Since 1999, Ambrion Inc. has been helping executive level professionals in Accounting and Finance locate the next steps in their careers. Small businesses to Fortune size companies working with Ambrion have hiring managers that want millennials to join their team, but don’t know where to find them or how to keep them. Because making a bad hire can cost an organization up to one-third of that person’s first year salary, metro based companies report taking a cautious approach to hiring this generation.
Brian Carlson, Ambrion’s President, explains how Katapult Network will help the next generation, “There is an untapped generation of talent experiencing a higher unemployment rate than their older peers, and Katapult Network has the resources to identify talent that will thrive in organizations that Ambrion has been working with for years.”
Couple an aging workforce with a positive Minnesota Economic Outlook as reported by the Twin Cities Business Journal on January 20th, and the demand for finding talent is identified as one of the “biggest challenges” facing Minnesota businesses this year.
Diana Dalsin, Community Relations Director for Bridging explains, “Millennials are not finding full-time work quickly enough, so it’s not just about training for the job we’re hiring them for, it’s training them how to be a professional.”
Brian Johnson, a founding partner of Katapult Network, identifies why hiring millennials is the key for organizations looking to grow this year. Johnson says, “The millennial population in Hennepin County has increased 45 percent in the last seven years, and that kind of growth in one demographic should be embraced and celebrated.” He explains, “The millennial generation is the most educated and tech-savvy that the Twin Cities has seen in years, this is good news.”
Johnson’s previous decade of experience recruiting entry level talent provides the necessary foundation for Katapult Network to find the most sought after emerging professionals in the Twin Cities. Katapult Network’s focus will be helping recent graduates, emerging professionals and students in the last phase of their undergraduate degrees pursue their career aspirations. Career counseling, securing internship opportunities, interview coaching and resume advice are fundamental areas where Katapult Network candidates can expect to receive expertise.
